When you join the DAR, you enter a network of more than 185,000 women who form lifelong bonds, honor their revolutionary ancestors and promote historic preservation, education and patriotism in their communities. |
MembershipMembership in the DAR is open to women eighteen and older who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death. The NSDAR and its chapters do not discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.
